Special Edition “Americans in China” Model Wall: Xiao Wen Ju

On Friday, Chinese models will walk in a massive runway show at the Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park for Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, and Marchesa. Vogue asked a few of them to share their favorite hometown spots. And while they don’t agree on everything (i.e., where to shop), on one point, they’re unanimous: It’s all about authentic Chinese hotpot.

Hometown: Xi’an

Favorite city in China:

My hometown! Xi’an is an old and beautiful city by the Great Wall and with a lot of monuments. Also the food is fabulous!

Favorite place to shop:

I always shop online at Taobao Marketplace. You can find everything there.
Favorite restaurant for traditional Chinese food: Yang Jia in Beijing for hotpot. I can say there is not one girl in China who doesn’t like hotpot.

Favorite thing to do:

I love to KTV [karaoke] with friends!

Long-distance travel look:

Really soft clothes that feel like a blanket.
