my faves are the olive mini and long cape towards the end and the blk/white knit striped oversized swtr/poncho thing...
and the blanket skirts with the fringe ( this is something i have always wanted...)

I love this, finally, a true, sporty winter collection! These are the sorts of things people really wear during the winter, not diaphanous mini-dresses.

This is the most Yohji Yamamoto collection I've seen yet of Y-3.

I agree, Zazie. such representative elements of him all around. I love this. quite possibly the first NY collection that I feel genuinely excited to look at, so far.

The shapes aren't very me (or concurrent with more fitted silouhettes), but I love the menswear and some of the layering on the women's pieces. Red tights & pants? Hard to pull off, but applaudable effort.

I congratulated the production designer after the show and asked "how are you guys going to get the ice out of here?" which gave him a cringe on his face. I guess it wasn't that much of a concern. I'm glad none of the models slipped.


Loved the looks for women, not so much for the men.

Agree with this completely...I find the collection to be really well balanced. The olive pieces really remind me of Y's from the fall season.

I really hope some of this makes it into production, especially now that NY is going to have two Y-3 stores!

From what I understand from talking to a few people after the show Yohji is becoming increasingly involved. Also, the stylist has had a bad habit of putting a lot of the show items and not enough actual products in the collection. Hopefully a lot of the more spectacular pieces will actually go into production.
