she really needs to be back on the fashion map where she belongs. That is great news. I don't expect Prada but I hope it's something great. 
NOIR FAÇADE: Ymre, you have been transformed since the Elite Model Look a few years back. Is modeling everything you’ve expected it to be?
YMRE STIEKEMA: I've just finished school and will start as a full- time model now, so I can't really tell at the moment.
NOIR FAÇADE: After taking some time off in order to finish your last year of school, how does it feel to be back in the game? Are you expecting big things?
YMRE STIEKEMA: I'm really looking forward to everything that will come, but I'm also aware that I still have to learn a lot.
NOIR FAÇADE: What would your advice be to young models who are torn between work and school?
YMRE STIEKEMA: Finish your school, that's important, but try to do some things during school holidays, weekend, etc.
NOIR FAÇADE: Going back home, how have your friends and family treated you after your success as a model?
YMRE STIEKEMA: Very normal, we are all very down to earth.
NOIR FAÇADE: Do you prefer print work or runway, and why?
YMRE STIEKEMA: I prefer print, because of the whole atmosphere on the set. Especially when I have to do different images.
NOIR FAÇADE: How do you pass the time when you are waiting around on set or backstage at a show?
YMRE STIEKEMA: When I was still at school I sometimes brought my home work, but I also have my i-pod and there are always other nice girls to talk with.
NOIR FAÇADE: Any humorous backstage stories?
YMRE STIEKEMA: Yes many, one of them: I was backstage and I had to change clothes very fast, a stylist was helping me. She wanted to take off very long back gloves I was wearing. She pulled very hard and she teared the fingers off and the rest of the glove was still on my hand. This was really very funny!
NOIR FAÇADE: Out of all the beautiful photos of you, which is your favorite and why?
YMRE STIEKEMA: I really like the Prada pictures of course, but also the picture attached because it's very natural.
NOIR FAÇADE: Who are your favorite photographers to work with?
YMRE STIEKEMA: One of them is Steven Meisel of course.
NOIR FAÇADE: How has modeling shaped you into the person you are now? In what ways do you think you’ve changed?
YMRE STIEKEMA: I hope I won't change as a person, but maybe you should ask me in about one year.
NOIR FAÇADE: What is the best advice you have been given as a model?
YMRE STIEKEMA: Stay who you are, no matter what.
NOIR FAÇADE: Any top songs for this summer?
YMRE STIEKEMA: My favourite song at the moment; Shakira: Waka Waka.
NOIR FAÇADE: Is there something you would like to achieve Ymre? Any goals?
YMRE STIEKEMA: Be a very successful model, I really admire Doutzen Kroes.
NOIR FAÇADE: Could you share a secret? Something people don’t know about you.
YMRE STIEKEMA: When I was very young I had my first shoot, together with a friend. It was for images in a traffic book. I was really happy to do this.
NOIR FAÇADE: What are the ups and downs of being Ymre Stiekema?
YMRE STIEKEMA: At his point I really like who I am. Of course when I travel I sometimes miss my family and friends, but that's part of the job.
