Really a clever and pretty collection from this "emerging" :? designer.

Oversized stitching, unfinished hems and gorgeous raw knits, metal ring vests and my favorite, reminiscent of Gaultier's last Couture, buttons as jewelry strung together with invisible thread... Both day and evening looks interestingly seem to subvert "modern" fashion and hearken to "tradition" instead of the opposite, which tends to be the more usual vector or direction.

Some looks from the collection:

Very clever & innovative, but the top row is not really to my taste.
I like the 'tweedy' looks on the second row.

not bad at all, I had an invitation for this but I had no time to attend :?

Not a fan. :? Maybe it's all the black and white and pearls and tweed, but it seems like this designer is too influenced by Chanel...but the designs the, ahem, "older" ladies would wear. But, then again, what do I know?

Sometimes it takes "cute" things to a strange place, and sometimes it's just plain...cutesy.
still AW 2005

oh! i love the shape of the dresses and that the models look like morbid waterlilies in them

and the shape of that white blouse.
what do you think cerfas?
thanks for posting!

i had seen his last collection, not the 'dark' one. it's pretty cool most of it i think. ^_^

Hm, well I heavily curated that AW 05 collection...left a LOT out. A lot of it I thought was really bad actually, but to me the good looks were worth it. I like to see designers carry themes throughout a collection, whether it's a technique or a feeling. I like your morbid waterlilies description. Like I said before, I liked when he made cute prints, colors, etc. look strange and sickly almost. I like the pieces that are more unsettling.

F/W 2004 ...Really creepy, there are these pieces every model is wearing made of hair (probably synthetic)...

Buttons as an embellishment

Looks like multiple necklines were transformed into decorative element

So many designers try to make frumpy ski sweater type prints look fashionable

The trench is the best thing. The prints become so overbearing, I can't even look at any of those pieces
