Yoni Purse

I'm not so sure there is a market, well not a large one at least. I'm still in shock. And that HBO real sex is... educational, like you said. I didn't know they showed the puppets. Humm...

That is disgusting.. I am still in shock

What in the name of God???

I mean what the hell?

Do you have any spare change?

Wait i'll just check my vagina!

Ugh.

HAHA! So what "kind" of woman would carry such a thing? :innocent:

sad thing is, Ive seen worse...other purses made to mimic girl-bits (I had my boyfriend read this threat, he teases me mercilessly because I wont say the p word, the c word, or the v word! I turn pink too easily!)

anyways, these bags had feathers, and darker colours of pink, and more folds.....they were just awfull. somewhere, there is a website that makes bags, keychains, pencil toppers....I couldn't believe it!

and I agree with everyone else....

ahem.....:innocent:

at the risk of being stoned for a witch, i do have something positive to say about this kind of work.

i once worked as a sex educator and HIV/AIDS counselor. no, i did not *have* sex - i talked about sexuality to men and women of all ages and sexual orientations, and at one time handed out bleach (for people who injected drugs with needles) and condoms (you know about those), and HIV prevention information.

the basic idea behind the puppet is that a lot of people, male and female, are unsure of what vulvas (the proper name for the visible female genitalia, not vagina, which refers to the inside) look like, and are uncomfortable with photographs or more realistic imagery. so to help them learn about their sexuality these puppets are used. there is so much ignorance and fear about female sexuality, including our basic anatomy, and, whether or not you'd want to buy one, i think the concept is basically positive.

as far as the purse goes - to each her own, huh? i think if you don't already know what the purse represents, it could go right over your head. what would sigmund freud say?;)

Freud was stuck on the idea of sexuality and phallic symbolisim in dreams and the unconscious... so I think he would love this work of art. ;)

The puppets are great... I haven't seen them in person.. but I can see where they would be educational...

I don't think the purpose of the Vulva Puppets is to educate... more like to make money out of the abstruse. Wicked stuff for sure.
