Beautiful pictures Runner! I remember seeing his illustrations for Final Fantasy before.

it's interesting you mentioned these artists because yoshitaka says kay nielsen, as well as gustav klimt, are some of the artists that inspire him.

what medium does he use?

i think he often uses watercolours, but i have seen works of his done in oil, ink, and even crayons. he can probably use any medium

He's one of my fav artists of all time, I have one of his artbooks titled Biten. It's truly beautiful. He is heavily influenced by an artist called Gustav Klimt. When you compare the two artists, you can spot out the similarities in terms of color and shape, not exactly subject matter.

Estella, I think that is his signature style.
something intricate or detailed might have been a trend in those days.

I remember in elementary school, I made a girl write that he was my idol in the "people you admire" section of the yearbook. The details, colors, creativity of his work is incredible.
