WHO? Sienna Miller
WHAT? Emilio Pucci
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? Miller hasn't been so interesting lately, but she really wowed me here. Unfortunately, she went back to being boring for the rest of the year.
WHO? M.I.A.
WHAT? Alexander Wang for GAP
WHEN? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? M.I.A. looked glamorous but still managed to maintain her edginess in this ethnic-inspired look.
WHO? Leighton Meester
WHAT? Marc Jacobs
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? There weren't many pictures of her as she arrived late due to filming, but it's one of my favourite looks from Meester. I love everything here from lack of makeup (which was probably unintentional) to the headpiece. Undeniably adorable.
WHO? Natasha Poly
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? There are no other words to describe this other than: GLAMOROUS.
WHO? Lea Michele
WHAT? Vintage Oscar de la Renta
WHERE? Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala
WHY? Michele looked very elegant and I love how she chose a dress from one of Oscar de la Renta's best collections.
WHO? Cate Blanchett
WHAT? Alexander McQueen
WHERE? Robin Hood at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? She always manages to look both edgy and elegant. How does she do it?
WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Prada Print Collection
WHERE? Promoting Wall Street 2 at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? The print is beautiful and eye-catching.
WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Azzaro
WHERE? Premiere of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? Yeah, it's Carey again. I can't help it, she was my favourite this year? I know a lot of people didn't like this and called it ageing, but it is soooo Carey and I love it. I hope she goes back to choosing quirkier pieces like this. Lately she has been more refined and elegant.
WHO? Diane Kruger
WHAT? Vintage Chanel
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? This dress is so odd looking, but there's something very appealing about it. The hair and makeup is perfect.
WHO? Constance Jablonski
WHAT? Emilio Pucci
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? She just looks outstanding in this. Florence Welch also wore this incredibly well, but there aren't any good pictures of her in this dress.
WHO? Kirsten Dunst
WHAT? Chanel Haute Couture
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? The detailing is simply marvelous.
WHO? Kristin Scott Thomas
WHAT? Lanvin
WHERE? Premiere of Outside of the Law at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? The necklace is just...
wow. My favourite red carpet accessory of last year.
WHO? Cheryl Cole
WHAT? Versace
WHERE? Premiere of Outside of the Law at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? Let's just get one thing straight...I'm not a fan of Cheryl Cole. At all. However, I really loved her in this dress. Usually she is so overdone and tacky and is just overrated in general. She looked fantastic in this dress...when you couldn't see the tacky thigh tattoo.
WHO? Sarah Jessica Parker
WHAT? Vivienne Westwood
WHERE? Japan Premiere of Sex and the City 2
WHY? This is just one of those red carpet moments that made me say "WOW!" At that point, I was a bit disappointed with her previous premiere choices in New York and London.
WHO? Natasha Poly
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? Givenchy Hosts the Closing of Marina Abramovic's "The Artist Is Present"
WHY? As I said previously with Ashley Olsen, I hate matchy matchy looks. This just works so well, though. I'm a sucker for anything that is Givenchy.
