I always look forward to Harper's Bazaar's December issue because of the Best Dressed List in the back. I am a sucker for good style, so I wanted to see everyone's Top5 Best Dressed for this year. If you're feeling spunky, go ahead and do your Worst Dressed too. I'll post mine in a few, can't wait to see what you guys pick!:flower:

Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture, Lady Gaga in Alexander McQueen, Natalie Portman in Rodarte

Kate Bosworth in Proenza Schouler, Camilla Belle in Valentino, Carey Mulligan in Prada

Ooh this is my favorite thread each year. But I'm gonna have to wait as we still have December to go and that is the month when the "Oscar bait" films premiere. It's red carpet candy time.

And for the rest I've forgotten, blaming my short memory, but this look will be forever in my heart.

Surprisingly, this year had been really uninspiring for me so far. I only love several looks. So unusual :ermm:

Personally I'm so glad 2010 is over but fashionwise I couldn't get my choices down to 5 (I had 20 plus). So here is my choices for 2010 -

BEST DRESSED EVENTS -

10) Elle Fanning in Marc Jacobs
- Even though she's 12 and not someone I should look to for fashion ideas she's so adorable in this dress it's hard not to love it.

9) Natalie Portman in Rodarte - She looked gorgeous. It would be higher but she loses points for that crap clutch that does not go.

8) Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta - Rachel Zoe wanted Cameron to wear the dress Sandra wore but I for one am so glad Sandra got it cause Cam stole her thunder with this dress.

7) Leighton Meester in Chanel - I know that people didn't like this look on her but to me she looked fantastic. It something different.

6) Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen - She looked awesome. I hope she continues to wears his clothes.

5) January Jones in Versace - The "Soccer Moms" just did not get this. It is simply amazing. I love that she had no jewellery the dress is the statement. Soccer moms be damned.

4) Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada - This dress is so cute. I love the green jewels and her pink loubs.

3) Kirsten Dunst in Rodarte - Another one people didn't like. She looked like an Angel. What's not to love.

2) Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix - Perfect. It was such a lovely surprise to see something from the final collection on her (you know rather than Chanel).

1) Zoe Saldana in Givenchy - I DIE for this. She looked FLAWLESS. Everything is perfection. A+++

BEST HAIR -

After having that awful jet black mullet for six months and then another six month to grow it out Kristen Stewart needed a change. Even though it was only for a short time I loved the redish tint. This messy up do with braids was cool.

BEST DRESS CANDIDS

Kirsten Dunst in Miu Miu, Sienna Miller in Twenty8Twelve, Gwyneth Paltrow in Rick Owens, Keira Knightly in Burberry, Blake Lively with Chanel accessories and Claudia Schiffer in everything (seriously go visit her thread).

BEST SHOES

Gwyneth wore these Tabitha Simmons "Baliee" shoes on that stupid Seinfeld show. These are so wicked and are currently on sale just FYI.

RISING STAR

Carey Mulligan - She likes to play with fashion. You can tell she doesn't take it too seriously. She just so cool. I can't wait to see what she wears in 2011.

^ Florence looked amazing in that Elie Saab dress!

Mine is more of an overview of the best red carpet looks of 2010. I might do candids later. I tried my hardest not to be biased (I even included a few celebrities I usually dislike on the red carpet). I'm only going to do the first half of the year for today (I have 50 looks from January to July alone).

WHO? Diane Kruger
WHAT? Karl Lagerfeld
WHERE? German Premiere of Sherlock Holmes
WHY? Interesting combination of dress and boots.

WHO? Amber Heard
WHAT? Christian Dior
WHERE? Art of Elysium's 3rd Annual Black Tie Gala
WHY? Perfect mix of elegance and screen siren.

WHO? Diane Kruger
WHAT? Christian Lacroix Haute Couture
WHERE? The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards
WHY? For standing out in this stunning pink orchid-like dress.

WHO? Chloe Sevigny
WHAT? Valentino
WHERE? The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards
WHY? As always, the fashionista dared to be different in this ruffled Valentino gown.

WHO? Maggie Gyllenhaal
WHAT? RM by Roland Mouret
WHERE? The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards
WHY? Most would've looked washed out in this peach-coloured dress, but Gyllenhaal pulls it off with such grace.

WHO? Rose Byrne
WHAT? Lanvin
WHERE? The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards
WHY? For adding personal touch with the brooches.

WHO? Sandra Bullock
WHAT? Bottega Veneta
WHERE? The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards
WHY? For pulling off this sheer slit dress without looking too risqué or out of place. She should've saved this dress for the Oscars, in my opinion.

WHO? Ashley Olsen
WHAT? Erdem
WHERE? InStyle and Warner Bros. 67th Annual Golden Globes Post-Party WHY? Matching the colour of your dress with your shoes is one of my red carpet peeves, so you can only imagine how delighted I was to see someone actually pull this off without it looking horribly matchy-matchy.

WHO? Chloe Sevigny
WHAT? Christian Lacroix
WHERE? HBO's Golden Globes after-party
WHY? For killing it in two outfits in one night. I was also happy to see Lacroix being worn TWICE in one night and so perfectly.

WHO? Drew Barrymore
WHAT? Custom-made Monique Lhuillier
WHERE? The 16th Screen Actors Guild Awards
WHY? I'm never usually a big fan of Lhuillier, but Barrymore looked stunning in this Dior-inspired dress.

WHO? Kate Hudson
WHAT? Emilio Pucci
WHERE? The 16th Screen Actors Guild Awards
WHY? The back of the dress made this look for me. The necklace, the hair and the detailing.
FEBRUARY:

WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Prada
WHERE? The Virtuoso Awards at the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival
WHY? For looking adorable and chic in this daring beach print Prada dress.

WHO? Michelle Williams
WHAT? Chloe
WHERE? Shutter Island photocall at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival
WHY? For looking cute as a button in this menswear-inspired dress.

WHO? Michelle Williams
WHAT? Chanel
WHERE? Shutter Island premiere at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival
WHY? For looking every inch the Chanel girl in this sheer gown later on in the evening.

WHO? Emily Blunt
WHAT? Zuhair Murad dress and Ina Soltani coat
WHERE? Russian premiere of The Wolfman
WHY? I absolutely hate Zuhair Murad and this dress is an absolute Dior rip-off, but there's no denying how amazing Blunt looks in this dress. The coat was a perfect finishing touch.

FEBRUARY CONT.

WHO? Nicola Roberts
WHAT? Vanessa Bruno
WHERE? Elle Style Awards
WHY? Roberts is fairly underrated when it comes to style and i simply loved this ensemble.

WHO? Mia Wasikowska
WHAT? Valentino Haute Couture
WHEN? Royal World Premiere of Alice in Wonderland
WHY? I remember not liking this initially, but she is a vision in this gown.

WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Christopher Kane
WHEN? The 25th Annual Independent Spirit Awards
WHY? This is possibly my favourite look of last year. Everything from the Christopher Kane dress to the Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton clutch and Rupert Sanderson sandals.

WHO? Zoe Saldana
WHAT? Givenchy Haute Couture
WHEN? The 82nd Annual Academy Awards
WHY? Big and dramatic. This is what I want to see at the Academy Awards and Saldana certainly delivered.

WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Prada
WHEN? The 82nd Annual Academy Awards
WHY? I absolutely loved the idiosyncratic detailing of this dress and the chandelier earrings really help complete the look.

WHO? Zoe Saldana
WHAT? Givenchy Haute Couture
WHERE? Fox Searchlight Pictures Oscars After-Party
WHY? I can't for the life of me understand why she would save this amazing dress for the after-party.

WHO? Camilla Belle
WHAT? Yves Saint Laurent
WHERE? The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of Armida in New York
WHY? Belle is usually either really boring or really breathtaking on the red carpet. This is definitely the latter. Well, duh.

WHO? Jennifer Aniston
WHAT? Donna Karan
WHERE? New York Premiere of The Bounty Hunter
WHY? Her style hasn't been so exciting lately, that's a given. However, she looked like a Grecian goddess in this Donna Karan. Very simple and unaffected.

WHO? Emma Watson
WHAT? Christopher Kane
WHERE? LONDON show ROOMS New York Cocktail Party
WHY? Emma Watson is fun and flirty in this floral and lace dress.

WHO? Abbey Lee Kershaw
WHAT? Ralph Lauren
WHERE? Ralph Lauren Dinner to Celebrate Flagship Opening
WHY? For getting everything right here and managing to spice up a simple flapper-style dress.

WHO? Liya Kebede
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? German Film Awards
WHY? For looking like a complete goddess.

WHO? Rebecca Hall
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? Please Give Premiere at the 9th Annual Tribeca Film Festival
WHY? For pulling off a tricky look.

WHO? Jessica Alba
WHAT? Marios Schwab
WHERE? White House Correspondents' Association Dinner
WHY? I hate it when she tries to be edgy and she can be so annoyingly trendy. I love it when she keeps it simple and she knocked it out of the park here.

WHO? Chloe Sevigny
WHAT? Vintage Moschino
WHERE? Broadway Opening of Promises, Promises
WHY? This vintage Moschino jacket from the 90s is absolutely gorgeous and I love the whole ensemble.

WHO? Amanda Seyfried
WHAT? Viktor & Rolf
WHERE? Letters to Juliet Premiere at the 9th Annual Tribeca Film Festival
WHY? For looking understated and very chic. I love the hair.

WHO? Sienna Miller
WHAT? Emilio Pucci
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? Miller hasn't been so interesting lately, but she really wowed me here. Unfortunately, she went back to being boring for the rest of the year.

WHO? M.I.A.
WHAT? Alexander Wang for GAP
WHEN? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? M.I.A. looked glamorous but still managed to maintain her edginess in this ethnic-inspired look.

WHO? Leighton Meester
WHAT? Marc Jacobs
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? There weren't many pictures of her as she arrived late due to filming, but it's one of my favourite looks from Meester. I love everything here from lack of makeup (which was probably unintentional) to the headpiece. Undeniably adorable.

WHO? Natasha Poly
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? Costume Institute Met Gala - "American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity"
WHY? There are no other words to describe this other than: GLAMOROUS.

WHO? Lea Michele
WHAT? Vintage Oscar de la Renta
WHERE? Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala
WHY? Michele looked very elegant and I love how she chose a dress from one of Oscar de la Renta's best collections.

WHO? Cate Blanchett
WHAT? Alexander McQueen
WHERE? Robin Hood at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? She always manages to look both edgy and elegant. How does she do it?

WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Prada Print Collection
WHERE? Promoting Wall Street 2 at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? The print is beautiful and eye-catching.

WHO? Carey Mulligan
WHAT? Azzaro
WHERE? Premiere of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? Yeah, it's Carey again. I can't help it, she was my favourite this year? I know a lot of people didn't like this and called it ageing, but it is soooo Carey and I love it. I hope she goes back to choosing quirkier pieces like this. Lately she has been more refined and elegant.

WHO? Diane Kruger
WHAT? Vintage Chanel
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? This dress is so odd looking, but there's something very appealing about it. The hair and makeup is perfect.

WHO? Constance Jablonski
WHAT? Emilio Pucci
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? She just looks outstanding in this. Florence Welch also wore this incredibly well, but there aren't any good pictures of her in this dress.

WHO? Kirsten Dunst
WHAT? Chanel Haute Couture
WHERE? amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
WHY? The detailing is simply marvelous.

WHO? Kristin Scott Thomas
WHAT? Lanvin
WHERE? Premiere of Outside of the Law at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? The necklace is just...wow. My favourite red carpet accessory of last year.

WHO? Cheryl Cole
WHAT? Versace
WHERE? Premiere of Outside of the Law at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival
WHY? Let's just get one thing straight...I'm not a fan of Cheryl Cole. At all. However, I really loved her in this dress. Usually she is so overdone and tacky and is just overrated in general. She looked fantastic in this dress...when you couldn't see the tacky thigh tattoo.

WHO? Sarah Jessica Parker
WHAT? Vivienne Westwood
WHERE? Japan Premiere of Sex and the City 2
WHY? This is just one of those red carpet moments that made me say "WOW!" At that point, I was a bit disappointed with her previous premiere choices in New York and London.

WHO? Natasha Poly
WHAT? Givenchy
WHERE? Givenchy Hosts the Closing of Marina Abramovic's "The Artist Is Present"
WHY? As I said previously with Ashley Olsen, I hate matchy matchy looks. This just works so well, though. I'm a sucker for anything that is Givenchy.

JUNE CONT.

WHO? Courtney Love
WHAT? Custom-made Givenchy
WHERE? Givenchy Hosts the Closing of Marina Abramovic's "The Artist Is Present"
WHY? Seriously, how she does she do it? One minute she looks a mess, the next she looks fiiiine.

WHO? Ciara
WHAT? Givenchy Haute Couture
WHERE? Givenchy Hosts the Closing of Marina Abramovic's "The Artist Is Present"
WHY? Probably the first time I've ever appreciated Ciara in Givenchy.

WHO? Jessica Biel
WHAT? Diane von Furstenberg
WHERE? The CFDA Fashion Awards
WHY? Usually I'm not a fan of either Jessica Biel or DvF, but she looks so fresh here! I think she got a new stylist in general as her red carpet style has improved without being contrived.

WHO? Jessica Stam
WHAT? Giambattista Valli
WHERE? The CFDA Fashion Awards
WHY? Understated sexiness. I love the braids.

WHO? Lea Michele
WHAT? Giambattista Valli
WHERE? Mark Townsend Launches MARKTBeauty.com
WHY? Lea Michele showed off her sexy side in this bra-flashing Valli dress.

WHO? Julianne Moore
WHAT? Erdem
WHERE? New York Premiere of The Kids Are All Right
WHY? Julianne Moore already looks young for her age, but she knocks off even more years in this fun Erdem maxi gown.

I'll do July to December soon.
