I think Requiem for a Dream is amazing - it practically changed my life that one. It's not actually a fantastic film when looking at the way it's made and how it presents itself but it really opened my eyes and made me think "sh*t, why the hell am I wasting time watching mindless blockbusters when stuff like this is being produced" - extremely powerful, great score.
Donnie Darko
Amelie (so cute! It makes me smile everytime I watch it.
Partial to the Kill Bill's and Pulp Fiction.
City of God - everyone should see this movie! I found the documentary in the special features of the DVD to be heartbreaking as well. Watch this movie!
Godfather (haven't seen II yet  )
Virgin Suicides
Lost In Translation- so heartwarming and subtly funny.
Trainspotting
Being John Malkovich
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
American Beauty
Life is Beautiful - another one I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Classics like La Dolce Vita, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gone with the Wind, To Kill A Mockingbird (*sigh* Gregory Peck's voice is so sexy - does that make me weird? ) and Cassablanca also make an appearance.

My favorite movies are the follows:-
1-Singles
2-In the name of the father
3-Roman Holiday
4-Stealing Beauty
5-Day on Earth
6-Befire Sunrise
7-Green Card
8-Much ado about nothing
9-Serendipidy
10-Wuthering Heights
11-Love Story
12-REservoir dogs
