Personal Film's to You

Since I have become this past year quite a film buff, I thought it would be interesting to see the different films that have had a profound effect on others personally. I will start firstly with myself

The Dreamers - It is based on a fantasy bohemian youth lifestyle in Paris in the late sixties, at the height of the student riots in 1968 and I fall in love with it every time I watch it

The September Issue" - When I first watched it when it first came out I was 14 and i was fascinated by fashion, but the documentary really made me understand what a career in fashion meant and made me realise what profession I wanted to do for life, which was and still is to be a fashion stylist/creative director for a fashion magazine

Les Chansons Amour - I really liked how the film is a contemporary musical, though it is completely different to any other musical I have ever watched (I normally hate them anyway). The drama and the acting is excellent too

The Hours – A stunning portrayal of melancholy and depression in my opinion, I cry sometimes (pretentious as it sounds) at how perfect everything is in some of the scenes in the film

Other films include Amour, The Hunt, Le Vie en Rose, Girl Interrupted, 500 Days of Summer, The Skin I live In, Marina Abramovic – The Artist is Present and Se7en.
