We haven't done this in a while! Now that the season is officially over lets share some of our favorite casting moments. It's a lot of fun and always ends up being more original than the the standard top 10's we see on other sites.

Lorena Marashi and Mayowa Nicholas! And Julia Merkelbach at Louis Vuitton again!

Prada was great, Miu Miu was awful.

I loved seeing Rianne closing Prada and Versace.

I was hoping to see Nirvana Naves and Lululeika Ravn Liep doing better.

I would first like to say that this is by far the worst season i've ever witnessed. Not only because the increasing popularity of the disastrous Instagirl trend, also the insipid newbies and high turnover rate and the lack of real, veteran models made this an insufferable season for me. I used to stay home or sneak away at work or school to watch live streams. This season I couldn't be bothered. I scrolled through cast lists when I was in bed at night only to be disappointed. A huge difference from the time I became interested in fashion (2009-2013 were the good ones).

In terms of new faces, I really liked Lorena Maraschi, Mayowa Nicholas, and Alanna Arrington. I've loosely followed Alanna Arrington's career for a while, and I never saw her look translating into HF before her haircut. The haircut totally transforms her face. She looks great. Another Mother Model girl, Caitie Greene has a great look. I don't think it's as versatile as Alanna's but she looked great at Gucci and her recent shot by Meisel for Vogue Italia was faaaaaantastic.

The lack of responses in this thread is clear that interest in casting/models has indeed decreased. I actually though SS16 was substandard but this season it felt like there was a void of a genuine star, someone who's going to make an impact and survive the endless cycle of new models season after season. It was slim but I did find some girls who stood out this season.
