I think I see a wee bit of le smoking, which j'adore:heart:

 the matador look,
even though i'm not a fuchia person,
this seems just like another stellar collection from Stefano..

thanks so much for all the photos jssy & Ella

looks good look forward to seeing the whole collection.

It's admirable how he's seem to have stuck to his original ideas first presented and gradually evolved them in his own way, reintroducing that idea of resistence and familiarity back into Saint Laurent. The clothing is particular, it's beautiful but it's not all that accessible which I like. He's dressing his peers, his generation, if you will, a woman who perhaps has nothing to prove.

Gorgeous :woot:. I like this alot.
Thanks *Ellah and Jssy for the pics :flower:.

Could the mods please change the thread title into just Yves St Laurent^_^

it looks so good. i wasn't the biggest fan of the last collection but i like where he's taken it.

What about the pom-poms and frou frou look, Lena - I thought you weren't a fan?

^ha.. love how you take notice of every little detail your highness.. :D

so, to make things clear to you, i hate pompom necklaces not pompom trimmings ;)
as for his frou frou (which i could never pesonally wear) it is wellbalanced.. could only 'adapt' the look in the neck detail version

Dramatic clothes in a dramatic setting.
I love all the ruffles and the pom-poms....creates much needed 'pomp and ceremony' for S/S which other collections are lacking.

Just checking ;)

I can't see myself in a pom pom necklace anyway...

neither do i your highness ;)
but i could do with a matador bolero :ninja:

is it me or is it the same venue as a bunch of other shows in paris. like dior or chanel as well!?

because it's gorgeous... ..but it's weird for an ysl show.... ...it's a beautiful space, but i don't think it goes with the show.....

i agree, i dont like the daylight being part of the show, dosen't feel exclusive enough if you get where im going....

^ yes, the daylight doesn't go with the red carpet.... a shiny WHITE floor or soft grey would have been gorgeous.. but still, it would be ackward for a ysl show....

it's just not the right venue, as gorgeous as it may be..... :flower:

 Deffinately a fun collection, one of the best I have seen recently!
Thank GOD for YSL!!!:flower: :D

nice to see her back at YSL

thank you so much for those great behind the scenes pics!! and wow, does YSL have some good-lookin staff :woot: yowza!

Pilati's first YSL collection remains his best. I miss the simplicity and ease of that show, which has gotten completely lost in his current, full-blown baroque phase. I don't consider much of the detailings beautiful. If anything, they are too confining. There are 4 or 5 nice pencil skirts, but the eveningwear is topsy-turvy as usual.

The following is particularly challenging to wear. Even the model looks thick in them:
