Zang Toi Fall/Winter 2005, New York

He does a trunk show here at a store with a much older clientele than mine. It's a HUGE deal and quite successful. I've met him as well and he is a VERY pleasant person, though quiet and at first timid.

I am quite annoyed by collections like these. It's just a copy of all done before trends. I hate clothes like this, I mean there is absolutely no originality. So boring, it almost frustrates me.

Wow how did he ever think of this amazing design? It's just so original. Thank God someone had the creativity to bring back the tweed suit.

I know I was kidn of thinking 'umm... you know those things have 'spines' and aren't meant to be bent and belted like fabric..

thx for the insight chris...it does seem like it would do well down south where they have a very narrow view of beauty and what is stylish...

big hair and all...

Though I really liked last season as well, I agree that this is his best work as of yet. I also agree that there are some LV influences, but this whole NY fashion week has had references to Paris so I don't care anymore :p
Also I hate all the peacock-pieces....it mostly looks so disgusting on clothes and this is definetly not an exception

Some of the stupidest-looking menswear I've seen recently.

I like. the peacock, strapless minidress gives me a slight "Adam & Eve in the garden of eden" feeling. :)

I don't like this. Almost every look came from another designer. I see imitations of Chanel, LV, Prada, ect...

I like how they're going for a strong sense of glamour, but I don't see how they compete with the other designers.
