Months ago someone asked for the HQ images from this show, so here they are!
Jean Paul Gaultier's Autumn/Winter 2000 show ‘Louise Brooks meets Easy Rider’ was presented at Paris Fashion Week. Parisian chic garments included longline jackets and vests, batwing sleeved draped turtleneck tops, fitted maxi dresses, drop-waist flared and pleated knee-length skirts, and bootleg and fitted pants. Tailored classics were deconstructed and draped to reveal streamlined, edgy silhouettes constructed in cotton, chiffon, leather, and sequins. Black was the predominant colour of the collection, with the occasional khaki green, brown, red, grey, and beige. Models such as Karen Elson, Jade Parfitt, and Erin O'Connor walked a cigarette-littered and rain-drenched runway to a soundtrack of nostalgic French melodies with the monologue of an anti-smoking therapist. Accessories included bowler hats, oversized sunglasses, leather gloves, abstract printed pantyhose, and stiletto heels. Models wore smokey eyeshadow and burgundy lipstick.
