I didn't see this when you posted it last year! such a gorgeous collection, I was trying to find a video to see how that switch from Claudia Schiffer to the black, evening numbers happened and what the music was but, no such luck!. Some of these silhouettes are just to die for (this dress? come on), it's just unapologetically feminine and sexy and elegant, and of course the casting makes all the difference and it's what keeps her (and a lot of the creators of the 90s) on a separate league to this day.. they were not intimidated or nervous to see their designs on spectacular bodies and women who irradiated confidence.. it only highlighted their excellence as designers and deep knowledge of who they're designing for. As creativity and input shrinks years later, so do bodies, the garment needs to hang almost the way it hangs from a hanger to deter the consumer from noticing their mediocrity and let them have a career. Theyskens is the exception but imo, his terrible casting choices (even in his Rochas/Ricci days) have played against him in retrospective.. imagine his Summer 2020 collection (which has a spectacularly bad casting) with the models above...
