While we are all trying to patiently wait on the December/January issue of Vogue Paris, I decided to make a thread where we can all share our favorite editorials from this year.

My favorite, hands down, is ADN de la Mode by Inez and Vinoodh from the August issue of Vogue Paris.

Natasha & Anja - Vogue Paris June/July 2009.
Iris Strubegger - Vogue Paris March 2009
Lara stone (Les Diamants de Lara) - Vogue Paris February 2009.

There are soooo many to think about; i honestly don't pay much attention to how good an editorial is as a whole, just how well done and effective the images are independently. A good editorial in my opinion is cohesive and, in some cases, narrative. Editorials of 2009 that come to mind taking this into consideration are the main editorials of Vogue Italia in June, July & August..all just fresh, innovative and amazing in their own ways. Can't remember which issue it's from, but another editorial in my tops of the year was Anja Rubik & Natasha Poly by Terry Richardson in Vogue Paris. Also, MCB by Camilla Akrans in Vogue Nippon-not sure which issue this is from either, but i remember it's entitled Wild Orchid. I also think there are way too many factors to consider to really pick even just a few from the entire year. For me, it's about what was more memorable.

having categories wouldn't be a bad idea, but i think it's also nice how it is, it's more about the eds as a whole, the ones which are good in many aspects...

Ah, I absolutely forgot to add in my list that I adore Vogue China July 2009 ed with Anna S.

"Art and Commerce" was FANTASTIC! Every shot was intense and visually filled to the brim. It also helped that the edit was super-lengthy ! And the styling! So nouveau riche decadent, but still polished. Hands down Alex White's best edit of the year (next to "Sunday in the Park," which was phenomenal as well), and definitely a contender for the best editorial of the year in general.

Of course, "Grafficouture" was a tour de force. Emmanuelle proved to us that she can throw together more than just some Balmain and hip high street brands. Though it was monumentally panned by members, I also enjoyed "Fur Play." I found it to be very fun and witty.

Another one of my favorites was "No Smoking." It was decadent, cerebral, decadent... a total reflection of the world we live in. One of Carine's better editorials of the year, in addition to the OUTSTANDING "Keith Me," "Gloria," and "Signes Particuliers."

I LOVE the idea of this thread! We should compile a list of 10 or so candidates and vote on the best editorial of the year!
