FERRE SAYS RELATIONSHIP WITH DIOR A PERFECT MATCH PARIS (FNS) -- "It's a grand honor to have been chosen to design for the house of Dior," said Gianfranco Ferre upon arrival in Paris Thursday. Ferre also said he felt that it was good for Dior "to have someone like me who has a respect for the quality, image and tradition of the house.
"I don't feel that I am so far away from what Christian Dior himself did," Ferre continued, as he prepared for a press conference in Paris' Crillon Hotel Thursday afternoon. "I have a modern approach to simple shapes and I think there is a similarity there."
