Starting with cocooning fabrics such as bamboo, silk satin and cotton voile, designers An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx blended softness with sensual simplicity in their first pre-spring collection for A.F. Vandevorst. Looks had a certain ease, from a slouchy, off-the-shoulder jumper dress to frocks made from joined panels of draped silk.

a.f. vandevorst doing resort? times are really tough for indies like them to try their hand at this. but it looks good....it's really a pared-down version of their p-a-p. and nice to see inge geurts modelling again too!

there's something so rich about this resort collection. i could definitely see a few of the younger country set wearing something like this at cocktail hour.

Vandevorst doesnt strike me as the Resort label. It looks uninspired to me. Just everyday pieces slightly altered. But this is Resort so..

Sure it's a simpler version of their runway collections but the DNA of AFV is clearly here, and the simplest dress has a sophistication in cut and shapes that not many can match. Love!
