^ These scans are great but I don't think Liz Tilberis was the editor. The tribute issue to Liz was the July issue with Tom Cruise. I think Katherine Betts was the editor for this issue?

No, but this issue mentioned Liz as the EIC, i don't know when Kate Betts become the editor of the mag.

So maybe Liz selected these editorials before or something like that.

^ Who knows! Liz died in April 1999. They probably kept her name as EIC until the position was respectively filled. If the magazine states it is Liz - then Liz it is - can't argue with that!

You're right, maybe someone of her team was the EIC in short period before than Kate Betts take the position of the mag, after the Liz's death.

the tribute issue-july 99-to liz was edited by her existing team. if you remember the june issue which liz was beginning to work on before her untimely death contained tributes to her and it tied in with the july issue which was completely devoted and dedicated to her. her existing team worked on those issues and continued till kate betts came in during the autumn.
