A Skirt/Shirt worth a thousand words

I'm in love with this Missoni piece, decided that it may be a good buy, but I'm not sure if it would be better as a shirt or a skirt? I've seen it bothways and just wondered what everyone thought!

Those empire "skirt" looking shirts are so done :blah: over pants... if you get it, wear it as a skirt, if it's long enough to be a mid thigh dress, wear it as a dress...

But a thousand dollars for that skirt, ok, it's Missoni, I bet that it'll go on sale anyway anyway, you can find a lot of skirts that looks liek that on small eclectic shops that are the same thing
