Agyness Deyn

i'm not really a big fan of hers but just gotta say that she looks great on the British Vogue cover and is the reason why i picked up that issue over all the other foreign editions- it was so bright and lively with her platinum blonde hair and blue eyes (and hot pick lipstick!) lol she's a really great poser as well

Interesting - after reading whole debate earlier in this thread about her age - that article has finally given us the answer. It is EXTREMELY rare to complete your A levels in UK before you are 18 therefore and it says she left school in 2001. so let's add 6 years (or 5 and a bit) to 18 and you get 23-24!!
Agreed, it is clear that she is slightly older than agencies cite her as..
But I suppose it doesn't matter that much at the moment :flower:

Actually I know that many models finished high school early, and not necessarily because of modeling. I don't think it's right to assume without hard facts how old they are

seriously i dont give a damn if she's 20 or 21 or 23...that discussion is getting boring...

Ugh! I hate age!

We are so bound by it. We have these silly generalisations about what people should be doing at a certain age (i.e. "old" people shouldn't dance). Our obsession with age causes so much unnecessary pain. I'm not just talking about models, just people's attitude to age in general.

Anyway, sorry for my rant ... :flower:

^ I know! OK, she's obviously NOT 21 (unless she's magical)! Who cares? Why does her agency and even she herself insist on lying? Modeling is a sick industry in that way. If you're over 18, you're over-the-hill and it's time to move on to the next Eastern European 14 year old. I wonder if she plans on keeping up the lie after she stops modeling?

I think it is a real shame that ANYONE feels the need to lie about their age - and that includes the modelling agencies or the models. Surely it doesn't matter how old you actually are - it is how old you look or how good you look that counts.

this story was in the lancashire herald today.

Model Laura in Vogue
By Kelly Livesey
Laura Hollins, who appears under the supermodel pseudonym Agyness Deyn

Laura?? I thought her first name was Agyness, just spelled Agnes... so they went from Laura Hollins to Agnes Hollins and then Agyness Deyn

.. the girl is ever the mystery :woot:

Very random question, does anyone know where her red scarf in post #1064 is from? I only ask because we were clearing out my grandma's flat, which incidentally is in Hull, and she had the exact same scarf..!!

have these been posted already? if so, i apologize for repost

both are from kathyisyourfriend.com

you're welcome. and i agree, the second one is really cute. i've started to like her more than i used to

At risk of sounding like an idiot, where exactly is the Agyness footage? The latest thing I see on the blog is for something called "Boned". Is the Agyness stuff just not up yet? Thanks.

Ack! I can't play them, something about a codec, but thank you for pointing me in the right direction anyway!
