Agyness Deyn

I can't get enough of her 'new hair' - its so damn COOL!

I hope she walks Prada this season! :woot:

im not sure about the new hair....i liked it better before...

I don't see much of a difference in her hair. Do you mean the fact that it's grown out a bit in front and is messier?

Thanks for the new pics!:woot: I'm not sure about the hair either, I liked it better before, shorter...:ermm:

With all true and sincere honesty, can someone explain to me WHAT is the big deal about her? Please dont delete this post, I'm truly curious. I dont get it. And dont say "she's beautiful" because thats in the eye of the beholder and she looks pretty stale to me. Why are all the editors and journalists loving her????????????

i don't get it either, perhaps its the hair and her style off the runway/away from the photoshoots?

True, I never understood the big deal about Agyness. I hate her legs. They're like "V's."

I think its because she doesn’t fit the mold, she’s not a beautiful, curvy, long hair, dark skinned, goddess looking creature. She has her own image, maybe that’s what the editors and journalists try and convey in there own peaces. And I know that’s why I love her, because she’s different :flower:

Maybe because she's a talented and versatile editorial model who manages to create and capture a variety of looks and expressions and doesn't solely rely on her "pretty" empty face to sell a product?

Just a thought ^_^

^^but most of the models working now, arent curvy, long hair, dark skinned whatever...i mean look at the models on the runways...how many of them are curvy or dark skinned? i think u mean Victorias Secret models...brazilian ones...

see it is exactly that...everyone has got a different taste...i never got Kate Moss' appeal, or Lily D's, or Snejanas etc either

I like her because she has a genuine, fun personality... she's really fresh and doesn't take herself too seriously. I find most models uninteresting and uninspiring (Gisele and that whole look for example, or Vlada types...), but I immediately fell in love with Agyness the first season she appeared. Her looks, style, and taste (the whole British punk and androgyny thing) are quite refreshing, a spark much needed in the industry. I like that she has a simple, charming face without severe features-- she's not a conventional beauty, but a beauty nonetheless! Plus she can take amazing photographs; she is very versatile as someone has said. Meisel doesn't choose run-of-the-mill girls as his favorites!

I guess it also helps that we both share cropped hair and the tomboyish aesthetic :p.... Sort of rooting for the underdog I suppose (now that I think of it, most of the models I DO like are a bit unusual...). But I could understand how some people wouldn't like her. It's all a matter of taste, and whenever a model has a strong look like Agyness, there is always division....

Anyway, in this video some fashion people express why they like her:

On another note, I wish she would get her hair trimmed!
Here's a myspace bulletin posted by The Facehunter:

Blah!

If the Face Hunter Awards would exist,
without a doubt,
Agyness Dean would easily be nominated.

In regards to post 1708, I think you said it yourself. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..." so why can't we say she's beautiful? What people find striking is completely subjective. I do think she's beautiful, but I also like her because she has a fresh, entirely unique style and a fun personality. I love her androgyny, I love her Britishness, there are many reasons why a lot of people adore her. Also, from when I read, she's easy to work with. She even said herself that the best advice for any model is not to say "I can't do that" during a photoshoot. She really gives it her all, I think. I mean, have you seen the girl pose?
