I wish people would stop being Jackasses about her eye condition. Some people here are so cruel and heartless, they make fun instead of showing compassion. It's not like she chose it and her intention is not to spread it, it's a temporary condition and people are talking about her like she's a leper (which isn't anyone's fault either). I for one am glad that she's there working even though she's in discomfort and it's very professional of her. I wish they'd just accept that she is now officially the face of modelling, she's already at the position Raquel Zimmermann took years to achieve. I'd rather people embrace Agyness and her beauty. She has gorgeous features that we admire in other models, like Doutzen's Eyes, Suvi's jawline, and Linda Evangelista's hair, granted she dresses like a blind woman but it's fun and I'm tired of all the scary chiselled faced little 15 year olds, who we'll forget next season. Agyness is a breath of fresh air and the industry already agrees so screw her detractors. I wish her even more success.

Agy is gonna be big but I think saying that she's gonna " face" modeling is maybe a bit much. She's more likely to be known for her " image" and not for her modeling.
And people where bothered about her eye condition only because it was infectious, and yet she chose to do fashion week anyway, which put the other models in danger. Other than that people where upset and concerned for her.
Anyway, I wish her success but I'm not totally ignorant to the fact that she is FAR from perfect ( not saying you are ignorant Carman_kass, but that's just my 2 cents.)

She says she got it from dirty make up brushes from shows in New York, which several models have commented on here at tfs as being a common occurance. It's just annoying how everyone thinks of Agyness as modelling trash who got some kind of short cut, she hasn't done anything ostentacious or rude, and designers and photographers love her so she must be doing something right. Why do we love hyped up girls like Irina Kulikova and Natalia Chabaneko and but when girls like Agyness, Abbey Lee and Catherine get hype it's seen as some nonesense one hit wonder moment?

No, I agree those comments aren't necessary if they're meant in a malicious way but if they're just jokes they're just jokes and I think that's fine.

No, what I meant was that Agy got conjunctivitis from the brushes but still went on working at Fashion week, despite the fact she had an infectious disease that could have spread to the other models. I think that was the only thing that maybe got a few people bothered but the general feeling was empathy for her, I think.

I agree she's definitely making an impact, but she'll need to watch herself or she'll become nothing but an image and a culture thing and lose her model quality; and when the culture fades she'll go with it!

Oh, and sorry if this burst a bubble sweetie, but there have been a few rumors of her being a little conceited lately and aware of her own hype!! Sorry!

P.s, anyone who trashes Abbey-Lee is in big trouble! Lol!

Well I certainly don't like that she's concieted, but like you said she's becoming a cultural comodity, but right now she's just a model, so if we can excuse Lily Donaldson being trouble then we should tolerate it from Agyness too, because they have the same job and they do it equally well, people don't treat Agyness like a model, especially on the site, they treat her like Paris Hilton even though Agyness actually has a job and does it well. Agyness isn't even my favourite but what I just want it to be an equal ground, like I said before she didn't cheat to get where she is, it's her Agency, work ethic and most of all Luck that got her there. If Agyness gets a cover it's like oh not that skank again, but if Daria or Lara get a cover it's like wow that's beautiful, so edgy, so fabulous. There's definately double standards, Agyness has produced some amazing images. Then again it's not like they're Surgeons or Professors or anything so I don't take it too seriously but she just gets a lot of flack for things that aren't even her fault, like her name and date of birth, if anything it's probably more embarassing for her that she has to keep lying to people's faces when they know her real age, it's just a marketing thing to get a model through the door. Anja Rubik is two years older than she is made to be but no one raises an eyebrow over her, so unless I've missed something I don't understand why people are so harsh towards Agyness. Her hair is her own creation, not her agencies, she'd probably be just as edgy and original walking down the street even if she never became a model, and that's something girls like Irina or Kasia don't have, who have to be groomed excessively, they have almost zero originality, just my opinion.
