Agyness Deyn: Blonde or Brunette? You Decide

2sb0qqu.jpg

Agyness Deyn's blonde crop that set her on the road to stardom was cut by legendary stylist, Sam McKnight on a Vogue shot. Like Linda Evangelista, the short hair got her noticed, but unlike you and me (or at least me) getting it all lopped off didn't freak her out. Quite the contrary: “I’ve had short hair since I was 13, and when I was 17, I had a skinhead.” So when she debuted her new buzzcut, it wasn't a shock to her system, but it did divide you with 46 percent of you saying she looked like a teenager boy. Now that she's made the switch back to peroxide blonde (she's pictured here at the Glastonbury, Another Stage book launch party in NYC), I'm wondering whether you'll like it better? Which colour buzzcut works best?

At least she's blonde again. Never liked her as a brunette. Okay, I only did in her Vogue Italia editorial but she had long and straight hair and looked pretty much fabulous... I'll even post it for old times' sake, haha

Weird I thought I knew EVERYThiNG about Agyness until I looked at this thread! Her new short hair look RULeZ though because it's new and YOU KNOW SHE"s not a natural blonde PEOPLE!!!!!! I think she should dress in Vivienne Westwood if I had to choose and PUT A BIRKIN BAG on her too!

awh thanks for those old photos doustna! i have to say, it's odd seeing an entire editorial where aggy keeps her mouth closed.

Really Lionsun? I think Aggy's mouth is PART of her SIGNAture Style which she has shown us in Burberry, YSL, Top Shop Collection where she has had a big mouth but we appreciated it back then so why not now? A lot of fashion people don't know how to rock the runway, talk the talk, and at the end of the day deliver in THE SESH.

Signature style?
Sorry, but have you seen any other model? 90% of them have open mouth in editorials...

Doustna.. some people (Like Aggy) are dressed chic and signature and NOW and others (like Christy Turlington) are SO-OVER its Gross Don't leave me alone with her bleeecchh...
So all I'm saying is Aggy invented that style from scratch and its not influenced. She invented what's the new it-girl thing and she wears punk and makes it look like jazz.

Okay, okay, but I don't know what does her "punk" style has to do with anything we've discussed? Lionsun was just talking about her mouth in that editorial - closed or not - so I don't know what does this have to do with Aggy being "it girl" and dressing "signature"...

To keep things related to Aggynes; I like when she doesn't keep her mouth opened in every single shot just like with every other model. End of story.

well Adam Green the intention behind my "mouth closed" comment was certainly not to attack agyness's signature style. it was more of just an observation--i think we can all agree that agyness is known for her sort of mock surprise facial expressions (and again, not saying this is good or bad either way) so it's interesting to see an editorial where her signature style", as you put it, is absent.

having said that, i think agyness has shown her true versatility as a model in photographs where she isn't necessarily gaping at the lens. her first vogue italia spread in 2006 is a good example of this...
