Alberta Ferretti in the 90s was interesting, you could identify her collections from the rest. Now it is just another generic brand doing pretty dresses. It´s like the italian version of Elie Saab.
I like how Alberta knows her brand and her clientele, and still manages to contribute a little something here and there to the fashion discourse, like the pink dress. I won’t lie and say I don’t think most of it comes across as basic, but I don’t care it’s Alberta, and I respect that.
To the point and classic Alberta. It's what Zimmermann attempts but can never exactly achieve when it comes to the effortlessness. It is kinda boring, but I do appreciate it for what it is because it is honest to what Alberta is about. And frankly, a nice visual cleanser too for what is a very odd season.
It's all just so beautiful and so quintessential Alberta Ferretti, and I'm quite fond of the splashes of vivid bold colour throughout the neutral collection.
