Could her Gossip Girl gig be simply about lack of other work? I can't recall the last time I heard of her being attached to a project.

Don't they always do cameos by famous people on Gossip Girl, I don't even watch the show, but I've gathered as much. That's all she's doing, right?

That's probably all it is. And also all the people saying they don't like how she's dressed, I doubt she styled herself. But from the neck up she looks great.

That Elle cover sucks. Horribly unflattering clothes and pose, dead behind the eyes. The make-up makes her look like a man in drag. And I'm a fan!

woah. I don't know if it's from bad photoshop or the angle or what, but her feet look crazy long in those shoes on the ELLE cover. definitely does not look natural! you'd think whoever designed that cover would've noticed... I know her feet never look that clownishly long in other pictures. o_O

Ugh.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2191553/Credit-cards-ready-ladies-British-style-icon-Alexa-Chung-confirms-going-launch-clothing-label.html

The 28-year old model Alexa Chung is our best-dressed export, consistently topping style lists and influencing the wardrobes of woman across the UK.
She has won the Style Icon award twice at the British Fashion Awards, she has a Mulberry handbag named after her and this year she was was rewarded for all that hard work being fabulous with a specially created ambassador role for the British Fashion Council.
And now the girl that helped put London on the fashion map has confirmed that she will launch her own clothing label.

n an interview with Japanese fashion magazine Numero Tokyo the presenter said: 'Yes, I’m definitely going to do that. I’m looking into it right now.
'I’ve got nothing to lose, it’s a bit of fun. In this current era of celebrity no one believes you actually design the stuff anyway, even though I sketch everything myself.
'So if it sucks I can say I had nothing to do with it, and if it’s really good I can say ‘Here are the drawings, it’s all my own work!

It's probably a good move for her - I really don't want to see any more of her attempts at journalism. She's had design experience in the past. Can't see it lasting more than a few seasons because it's most likely to be very same-y but I'm a pessimist (and have never understood her mass appeal anyway...)

She looks great in that Vogue Spain ed. I don't know about her coming out with her own clothing line tho. It seems like just about any celebrity jumps at the opportunity to do it so I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and see what her line will look like. Maybe something similar to what she did with Madewell.

Presenting and journalism don't work for her so fashion is probably a good avenue
