I got sent some really high patent shoes recently. I didn’t know if they were cool, then I saw Lou Doillon in them and I thought: “Wow, maybe they’re really nice.”

Does anyone else think this is a weird thing to say - who would have thought she was so.. set on being "cool"?!

That doesn't surprise me at all but I am impressed that she is willing to admit it.
Alexa is not a fool, she is aware of her image and strives to be cool, hence her questionable wardrobe (IMO) for someone who is 25 (that's her age right).
Same as Erin Wasson, Agyness Dyn, pixie, they are very self aware.

it's kinda ironic here ... like " i know i am known as a cool person so what i choose should be also cool ". You know - playing with those press expectation of her choices ( fashion wise and all )
