I think the simple reason she wears more wintry clothes is because the studio is freezing - she's mentioned it a few times (on twitter I think).

I'm with classical bang, haven't liked the outfits as much lately. They're ok, but a bit off.

^ judging by the pace of this thread, and Alexa's presence in every magazine I flick through lately, I am not surprised her show has been renewed!

Yeah, she is everywhere lately in the North American press. Also, yesterday I was browsing nail polishes at Sephora, and they had this minty green colour that looked similar to the shade Alexa had worn, and it was all sold out. Is it just a trendy shade for this summer or does Alexa have some influence on this phenomenon? I can't imagine green being more popular than all the bright reds and pale pinks...

Today's shoes were killer- yet again!!!
And the denim shirt, at second glance complemented her outfit but I would have swapped out the skirt for some kind of dark colored shorts.

I'm watching today's show right now. She's sporting this this dark bluish-gray top, some cute black cuffed shorts, some ankle-length socks, and these black open-toe boots with a nice platform. Offsetting the darkness is her white cardigan with alternating black stripes. She looks great. Not sure how tall she is, but she's tall. Tallest female celebrity I know today is 5'11" Taylor Swift.

Anyhow, she's got a much better look today than with yesterday's episode.

skirt in last outfit is kinda stupid i think. i hate high-waisted skirts and she's pulled it up too high in my opinion, and then the fact that the bottom of the shirt is so much further down than the line where top meets skirt makes it a bit ugly..is it really necessary to wear skirts/shorts that short?! i mean i know she has the legs for it but i think a longer length (maybe even like a regular miniskirt/pair of shorts! *sarcasm) would look great on her legs as well, and just .. she always has too much leg on show, it's not very tasteful imo

I think the highwasted skirt and t-shirt is one of her signature looks and she always shows legs.
I have to say she doesnt do it for me anymore when it comes to style although she does have some beautiful individual pieces.

(NEW YORK) The premiere of Vogue documentary The September Issue will be arguably one of the most exclusive fashion events of the year--along with Anna Wintour's other parties, that is. So when director R.J. Cutler, Roadside Attractions, and A&E Indie Films fête the film next Wednesday, expect the attendees to be a veritable who's who of chicsters. Wintour, Grace Coddington, Andre Leon Talley, Sienna Miller, Oscar de la Renta, and Thakoon Panichgul--all of who make appearances in The September Issue--will be in attendance for the first major screening. As for the non-appearing (camera-shy perhaps?)? Sean Combs, Amy Astley, Tory Burch, Patrick Demarchelier, Frederic Fekkai, Carolina and Reinaldo Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Phillip Lim, Rachel Roy, Melania and Donald Trump, Alexa Chung, Carey Mulligan, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, and Jason Wu are all slated to come out for the screening. Our favorite name on the guest list, however, has to be SI Newhouse. He may not make it out party-hopping among the fashion set very often, but after all, hasn't Graydon said Uncle SI on the town is great fun? The actual September issue of Vogue may not have hit newsstands yet - but who needs it when you have this much juice?

I would love an ID on those shoes from today (8/13), and her legs seem to go on for miles, you can definitely tell whenever she tries to sit down, she sprawls them all out in front of her.

According to her Twitter, she was going for a "French librarian" look today!

I would probably "absolute yay" those Marni shoes if we were doing "Yay or Nay?" on those. And of course, I'd offer my views in the usual detailed way I can. French librarian? Must be one hot French librarian she's going from! The combination of those black socks with the platform open-toe boots is lovely. I liked the shorts. I love cuffed short-shorts, but those were a bit long.

I did some Wikipedia reading on Miss Alexa Chung as well as on her webpage ( http://www.alexachung.net ). I read she's born the same year I was born (1983), only I was born Jan 15. and her Nov. 5. She was born in England with an English mother and a part Chinese father. I initially think of Korean descent when I hear "Chung." She's 5'8". But man... she has legs that seem to go for miles (or kilometers).
