If you've grabbed your new issue of Grazia (out today!), you will already know that many of the world's grandest luxury labels are reissuing their most iconic styles of handbag for A/W'10. One of favourite out-of-the-archive pieces is the Louis Vuitton Speedy, which was first launched eighty years ago. The monogrammed version was carried by none other than Audrey Hepburn (see the current mag for photo evidence of the adorable Audrey with her bag).



For the ultra-minimalist styling that is set to rule A/W'10, the bag has been re-issued in a stealth-deluxe shade of mink grey. And guess who we spotted out and about with the new bag yesterday? Alexa Chung (who may or may not be our Audrey du jour..). Ms Chung was carrying her £2,500 bag while wearing a geeky-grunge combo of plaid shirt + high waisted skinnies, and the style icon had tied a little plastic skeleton to the Speedy's handle - whatever would Audrey say?

pretty sure i read they are a vintage find. though i've been directed to Norma Kamali because they made a somewhat similar shape in tortoise!

I don't think the skeleton needs to be ID'd
It's just a plastic skeleton keyring she has added as an accessory to give it that Alexa twist. She's had it on her Mulberry before. You can get them on ebay like this kind of thing all the time

I totally agree! I mean no nastiness by this, but I think her look is becoming more and more unkempt and it sometimes looks like she hasn't even bothered to run a brush through her hair. Her hair looks tons better darker with her bangs shorter, it frames her face better and compliments her skin and eyes.
