Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner clearly isn't as famous as he thinks he is.

His efforts to look good on the dancefloor of London club Shoreditch House were thwarted when he was turned away by bouncers who didn't recognise the 22-year-old, left.

A fellow reveller said: "Alex strolled up to the place all smiles. But when he got to the front things got a bit embarrassing, the woman didn't recognise him.

"After a few minutes pleading Alex eventually had to name-drop his girlfriend to get in."

The rocker eventually managed to sneak in when girlfriend T4 presenter Alexa Chung, 24, came down to fetch him.

Don't worry Alex, they're a bunch of Mardy Bum's if you ask us.

When she had the cover of that mini magazine that came with Elle a few months ago, I thought it was high time we saw her on the front cover.

When I opened up my subscribers issue this morning at first I thought she had gotten the supplement cover again. I was really pleased for her to see she was actually on the magazine cover.

I may be able to scan the interview later, if no one else has by then. As it's a London issue she also talks about her favourite places to shop.
