Her walk looked so awkward on that video  But i agree with laisla,in photo i think she magaes to fit in perfrectly. But then again she did start out as a model so :innocent::p

Geraldine says that Alexa's interview with Henry Holland backstage at his show was hilarious and she decided Alexa is one of the coolest girls on the planet.

why is she on the catwalk in her own clothes?
i miss her eyeliner, she never seems to bother with it anymore. but i'm so glad that she's back to her old style after that odd hitch!

why is she on the catwalk in her own clothes?

because it's a rehearsal. she is barely recognisable at viv westwood...i cant tell if it's bad hair and makeup or if her usual hair and makeup does her great favours and this is what she actually looks like. :p

Fashionista.com on Alexa's walk
The show opened and closed with Jourdan Dunn, and Daisy Lowe awkwardly sandwiched in between. British superstar Alexa Chung, (seriously, she's like A-list-movie-star-famous over here), took a surprising turn on the runway, too. And for the record, she walks like Lowe's complete and total opposite - give her a few more inches and a bit more attitude, and she's right up there with Trentini.

when she has her hair up like this she looks old and less cute.well her walk seemed okay but im not a fan of the hand- on- my- hip strut.

eugh Daisy Lowe :( how could she be in the same show as ALEXA and JOURDAN?!

Alexa Chung is one of Nylon's 'It' girls - for good reason!

It's no secret Alexa Chung is the current darling of the fashion world-slash-London social scene, but have you heard she's also the It-girl further afield too? Nylon has included her in their 'It-girl issue', which also features the likes of Zooey Deschanel and Cory Kennedy as well as the UK's own Daisy Lowe and Geldof's Pixie and Peaches. We rather like Alexa (duh), and with her presence definitely felt at Fashion Week this week (from strutting the runway at Vivienne Westwood to being in every front row and fab fashion party), we're not surprised other people sorta like her too!

Nylon, being the nice people they are, have given CQ an exclusive peek at some of the outtake shots from Alexa's photo shoot - aren't we lucky? For more pics, you can read about it here, or obviously pick up the October issue of Nylon.

^ Those are amazing photos, I love the all black dress in front of the blue brick wall. She looks adorable.

Hope we get better pictures from the Fashion Fringe show, I'm certain that it's Alexa wearing the leggings.

Woa, that was a major picture quote :lol:

The really airbrushed picture of Alexa and Tennessee Thomas was taken by Ailstair Allan. His site is www.dirtydirtydancing.com but he hasn't updated during Fashion Week for some reason... I found his picture on www.dazeddigital.com. Hope that helps :flower:

For those who were wondering about the make-up at VW
Gordon Espinet’s inspiration for makeup at Vivienne Westwood Red Label came out of Africa, via Harlem.

“There was a strong sense of Africa in the fabric and the styling,” said the MAC Cosmetics makeup artist. “I live in Harlem and I felt like I was at home [looking at the collection]. I imagined the women who live around me and their sense of style. I wanted to embrace those characteristics and transfer them into makeup.”

Given New York City’s recent scorching summer, that meant giving skin a sheen using Strobe Cream and Fix + spray.

“The skin is radiant, glowing and sensual,” Espinet said.

He used Cream Color Base in Pearl on cheeks and brown hues, including Root, Dark Brown and Mid-tone Sepia, under the eyes and on lids. A slick of Clear Gloss added polish to peepers. Espinet used pencils to straighten eyebrows and Lip Erase to tone down lips.

The concept behind Malcolm Edwards’ hairstyles was slightly more off the wall.

“We’re doing demented Forties Flintstones,” said the stylist, who was working with L’Oréal Professionnel. “They’re bad girls who go to church for sex.”

Using Pli, Playball Texture Tonic and Texture Expert Expansion Mousse, Edwards created a plethora of styles, including topknots and kooky bangs.

1. Belt your high-waisted skirts for a paper bag effect.
Not to imply that she reminds us of an inanimate object, but sometimes we think that Alexa Chung must have been a Swiss Army Knife in another life. She’s always quite innovative in the personal style department (remember when she swapped out the strap on her handbag a vintage guitar strap?) and wears things in a fresh way. Case in point: the above outfit Chung wore to Luella’s S/S 09 show last week. We love the way she belted the designer’s high-waisted Dolly Chiffon Skirt ($465) over a vintage tee (gotta love Blutto) for modern take on the eighties trend. It’s easy to emulate this shape with the full skirts you already own. Just hike them up a little higher than usual, secure snugly by knoting an inch-wide belt at your natural waist, and voila—paper bag perfection! If this is too much work for you, you can also just pick up a full skirt a size or two bigger than you normally wear to get the full cinching effect. We like the Kimchi & Blue's Nordic Embroidered Full Skirt ($58) from Urban Outfitters for a thrifty option as well as DKNY’s Knee Length Skirt

($295) for a dressier option. Society for Rational Dress made a cool, pre-bagged option, check out their Tuck Skirt

($169) for another way to get the look.
