My friend from New York said this to my boyfriend today when he spoke to her "Do you have more people like Alexa Chung in your country? If so, send them over! Her MTV show premiered today and she's fantastic!".

So far so good eh? I love love her outfit, I'm not underwhelmed, it's relaxed but still stylish. xxx

Loved the outfit! Have to say I'm really impressed with her, judging by those 2 clips. Not only did she seem well prepared, she seemed to make her guests feel at ease. Well done Alexa

I felt like she dressed down her quirks for the show, in an effort to appeal more to the American MTV crowd.

I wonder if she styles herself, or if she has a stylist at MTV?

I have to be honest, as much as I love Alexa Chung and her style I felt that Alexa was a good host, nervous of course since it was her first show, but I feel that MTV will have alot of control over what she says and does for the show. As for for what she wore, it it was fine.

I am looking foward to seeing what she will be wearing tomorrow I am not looking forward to seeing Aubrey O' Day on the show

perhaps slightly off topic, but I love Jack Black's cardigan, even on him. But doesn't it look like the type of hip-to-be-square thing Alexa used to wear all the time? I miss those vintage finds.

that's the feeling that I got. MTV told her to tone down the sarcasm and be more friendly. I don't know how much influence they have on her style but that outfit felt very safe; maybe she will get more comfortable in time.
