Totally agreeI know, Alexa outshines these Barbies by a mile.

Fashionista.comWe’ve been trying so hard to not spend lately.
Which is why when I was at Topshop on Thursday and tried on a denim dress, I decided to make my wallet my friend (for once) and pass on the purchase.
I was content with my choice (and had basically forgotten said dress) until yesterday.
While walking on Spring St. I spotted Miss Alexa Chung, texting (or tweeting, perhaps) away down the street, wearing that denim dress (or one super close to it.)
Needless to say when I got home I searched the Topshop website, to no avail. The dress has totally sold out, and is nowhere to be found.
While it may be a tad sad that my Chung-spotting ignited such a fervent search, I’m not ashamed. Doesn’t seeing a stylish person (famous or not) rocking that trend, or piece of clothing, you were unsure of make you reconsider your hesitation?
Who makes you throw caution to the wind and embrace something you otherwise might not?
On another note, Alexa recently wrote an article for British Vogue about her love of tomboy style, yet lately we’ve seen her in tons of dresses. Maybe the sudden arrival of a New York summer has changed her ways.

+ Shirt: Kova & T.
+ Jeans: Current/Elliott.
+ Shoes: Chanel, her own.
+ Necklace: Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier Paris
They make the outfit better! I think it would be too plain without them..God, I love those shoes.
