i find it so hilarious seeing alexa next to all these hollywood type people. its like night & day. they certainly know how to overkill - tanner, straightener, perfectly styled & designer conscious outfits...blahblahblah

Do you really think Alexa puts no thought into her outfits? I think it would get tiring trying to be so ironic all of the time.

I get that she's the "new" thing, but I do not understand why everyone is going crazy over her look. To me, it looks like she grabbed most of her clothing out of the lost and found bin.

Can someone explain it to me? (I'm totally being serious, I've been studying this thread for awhile now, and I do NOT see the buzz!)

Anyway, there's nothing to "explain" or get. It's an immediate thing - you either like someone's style or don't. We all have different tastes, I happen to like her studied "effortlessness".

I was reading between the lines as the person I quoted juxtaposed her style vs. those who are "perfectly styled". Sorry I seemed to offend you, I was just wondering, as I said, what the fuss is. Thanks.

I think they (or at least I when agreeing with them) don't see her as being styled like the typical Hollywood starlet. Her hair isn't ever perfectly blow out, she doesn't worry about her pale skin, I've never seen her in a pair of Louboutins or an Alexander Wang t-shirt... etc, etc.

As DiamondSea stated, she definitely has an interest in style -- and that fact may ocassionally lead to her being seen with a Chanel bag or something that would fit in the broad generalization of what fits in the Hollywood robots "uniform", but to me she has a pretty classic & true style that breaks her out of that cookie-cutter mold.

As far as her being the "new thing", that's news to me? And probably humorous to those of us (most of us in here) who having been posting in her thread and admiring her style since the start of her thread in 2006.

In my opinion, the style of these Hollywood types reflects vanity before creativity---they all end up looking the same. Alexa is just the opposite. She looks to me like someone with interesting thoughts. That's my take on it, at least.

Hmmmm... I do understand what you mean although to me, she pretty much looks like your typical scenester. I've seen a tonne of girls around my city that look that way, along with various celebs.
