Alexa Chung

i think she looks LOVELY except for the tights and the yellow tips of her hair. the rest looks cute

wow that dress is hideous. those shoes also make her feet look huge! not feeling this outfit. her hair looks cute though.

oh.. eek.. i just noticed the blusher. not a good look alexa. ha

the blonde is killing me. if her hair was completely brown, the color of that dress would of suited her better.

I loved this Chanel look on the runway but on Alexa all I could think was a little kid dressed up for the Easter parade, its all just too much and looks silly to me.

seriously im so sick of alexa wearing these kind of dresses... same old same... :innocent:

Wow, everyone is being so negative about Alexa lately. I think the dress is cute and, most of all, it's different. It's definitely not something you'd usually see someone choose to wear, but she can pull it off whereas most people could not. It takes her own unique look and style to pull off dresses like that and, to me, that makes it special. It's what gives her the edge I've always admired about her: she can rock things that most other people, even others with modelesque frames, just couldn't pull off as well.

Also, I don't get all the flack for her two-tone hair! It's her trademark, and I think it's one of the coolest things about her look. Also, I loved her shoulder-length hair, but the cropped look works wonders for her, as well. I'd say it makes her look younger, like back in the early days of It's On!

The British Fashion Awards was the very first time, I thought Alexa looked bad from head to toe. I thought the new hair was a great idea, but the lighter locks ruined everything.

Party Hair gets a make-under

Alexa Chung, showcased a new, shorter hair cut that looks even easier to style than her previously longer locks. To get this look we spoke to Alexa's hairdresser George Northwood 'it's a very simple one-length bob, cut as you would a child's hair. The fringe is grown-out and worn either side' he told us. To style simply spritz towel-dried hair with Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray, £21 (an ELLE favourite), once dried use a large curling tong to create a bend in the hair and follow with some Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom, £17.50, which George recommends, apply it using your fingers to muss up the lengths. 'The colour is balayage, here at Hershesons we call it uplighting to create that smudgy look,' adds George. Book in with Alexa's colourist Amy Fish at Hersheson's in Harvey Nichols if you want to get the look. To get Daisy and Lara's texture follow the same technique as Alexa's, but gather your lengths up into a loose bun or ponytail and let any tendrils fall loose before lightly misting with hairspray.
