The headband is a new trend, it appears - see Charlize Theron AND Michelle Williams at the Golden Globes. I had mixed feelings about them then, too, as Charlize's was a little on the "princessy" side with its sparkles and Michelle's was sort of too far forward, or something. Alexa's, by contrast, is quite far back, and combined with the peter pan collared dress, it does have a slightly cutesy feel to it.

In short, if all of these style icons whom I love can't quite get the headband right, it can't be an easy accessory to pull off!
