I have to say.....I actually like this look a lot D: more than last year! I love the black leather mixed with the purple glittery type panels, it fits her actually really nicely, then the shirt puts it together, and I lurrrrve the shoes. But I hate the bag! (And I love the sixties hair and makeup, she looks pretty :*) But wtf is she doing with Joe Jonas? Complete mind f*ck!

Didn't she interview one of the Jonas Brothers on her show in 2009? I think the structure of the dress put me off the most. It makes her look ridiculous bigger on the hips for her frame. So out of proportion and didn't she tweet a few days before that she was getting her dress fitted??? That tailor needs to be taught a lesson!!

I actually like this outfit, but she never wears anything appropriate for these sort of events. She gets things like the NME awards and Elle style awards bang on because that's her 'scene' but when it comes to glamour and costumes, she's really overrated.

I disagree only insofar as I don't think Alexa's "hit and miss" event style is context or event specific. For example, I still think her tuxedo look from the MET two years ago is one of my top favorite looks on her! I mean just look!

The worst part about that dress is how ill-fitting it is, apart from the obvious flaws. It sags everywhere, including bulging in the stomach like it's made for a pregnant lady. I don't mind a shirt underneath at all, the shape is actually quite nice, but it would have been wayyy better sheer in a dark tone. Ugh shoes.

The dress from the Mulberry party (though less formal, I suppose) was a million times better in every sense.

I actually really love the Marc Jacobs dress she wore to the met, just dont like the way she styled it with the white shirt but at the same time dont think she couldve pulled off that dress w/out it, needs to be worn with someone with a shape. Like her hair best like this though
