Alexander McQueen S/S 2010 : Raquel Zimmermann by Nick Knight

it looks so fake!were they really around her body or did they just shot the snakes somewhere else and then cropped them on raquel's photo?

This'll give me nightmares!
I wish it was Tanya doing some dreamy thing with those huge shoes on....GRR

Serpentina reborn? :D This is a unique take on "colorful". The play of contrasting colors, textures and that lovely face of Raquel Zimmerman hit the right portions of my brain -- all screaming "AMAZINGGGGGG!!!". And that shoes, man, who can walk in those? But it's innovation. They look very stunning on the runway and no casualties yet so it may be the rebirth of how we look at shoes.

At first, I only saw Raquel's head and the snakes!
This is AMAZING but the snakes are a little distracting.

yes, at last a Mc Queen campaign i want to watch again and again. I love it, and doubt it would have the same connotation, had she been naked. It would be another pic of a nude model with snakes on top (which there are thousands of). The catsuit adds more colour, and maybe the attempt was to enhace the camouflage factor!
those could be real snakes, there are a lot of colourful creatures. i had only one snake a bit smaller that those ones on my shoulders and let me tell you, they are HEAVY! I'd trade places with raquel anyday, though!!

where its gonna be published? i can hardly reemember any of McQueen advertising in print... (pls, do not mix up with dumb Q by McQueen)

^its photoshop afterall, so you will never know, if only they posted behind the scenes on showstudio...

Love it!
It took me like 5 minutes to find her face though.

that's because print advertising costs a mint. methinks he spends it on his shows.

so then what`s sence in creating ad camapign (it costs tons of money too) and not publishing it? the question of existance of advertising is only to printing it

She should have been wearing nothing but the shoes. It would've made for a better shot, and it's not like you're actually looking at the silly catsuit anyway. Then again I thought the best thing about the show was the video of Raquel writhing around with the snakes, so I'm biased.
I agree completely. And I don't even like the shoes.

Not great as an ad, because you can't tell what the clothes are and it's confusing, but it's a great picture! Fun to look at as well. I like it overall.

 :buzz:  INCREDIBLE! Oooooh, McQueen, my little genious... Love the colors...

i would loooove to see a behind the scenes look at how this was shot... girl really worked it!

killer ad. too bad it won't see much print.

I have to agree with you. I can understand the excitement. It's certainly visually compelling and a stand out of the season, but I get too lost with the snakes the highly saturated colors. It's definitely not a bad image, but what an uneffective way to sell clothes. Most of the reactions are simply from the gimmicks presented, now how well it has been executed.
