Alexander McQueen S/S 2011 : Lindsey Wixson

what a beautiful and respectful way for sarah burton to announce her time at the house of alexander mcqueen. truly, it is a resurrection. the symbolism is profound.

why lindsay, i'm not a hater of her, but her face isn't really works for mcqueen!

Looks like they just photoshopped her in. Don't like it and the model doesn't make it better.

I'm fairly sure they did. Considering Lindsey wore the exact same outfit in the show, I believe they just used a picture of her from the show and did the rest in photoshop. It also kind of explains her face, I don't believe they would actually shoot a campaign and this would be the best image.
Also, I think they just created this for the McQueen website, don't think it'll show up in print.

Amazing! THe butterflies bought this for me

i mean seriously we have butterflies there and not snowflakes... why are their expressions so frozen and dull... there should be something sincere and not just a cold and unhappy expression... God it is almost depressing... am surrounded by thousands of butterflies and all I can manage is to have no emotion or expression... and what are these grumpy child lips from Lindsey...

well..this is the best part....thousands of butterflies represent the new beginning arround the dream of McQueen (which is frozen somehow)...this is how it feels for me....the whole idea of the ad is perfect!

It would've been beautiful if they had hidden Lidnsey's face...

lol

Alla should be next! to me she is THE McQueen girl

I don't care if I going to be the recipient of brickbats for saying this, but Lindsay's so ugly it needs brilliant phorography and stellar angles to make her look half-decent. Don't for the life of me understand why fashion's so into her 'look'. Then again, I've never understood Karlie's 'appeal' either, so maybe I'm ploughing a lonely furrow. This would've looked so much better with girls who're actually, if not very pretty, then at least not ugly - someone like Kristina Romanova, if they're going for a fresh face.

The concept is really good. It could've been an amazing campaign if Lindsey had been shot with the Butterflies, but its not the case and the final result looks poorly photoshoped.
