i like the contrast of black with the bright colors.... but some of that styling just makes the ensemble TOO bright, and the clothes are lost under the glare. I like orange, pink, and black as a color combination...hmmm.. i might consider it

Looks pretty good,actually. Kind of reminds me of a combination of Alexandre Matthieu's color explosion and the A/W 02 collection of Hussein Chalayan.

I like the way he works. All this playfulness without being floaty or silly. Actually,in contrast,it's got a certain stiffness that I like.

Really impressive start to NYFW thus far,btw.

That was the concept of the show. Alexandre selected about 7 different representations of music (banjo, accordion, opera, mariachi, beatbox, etc.) and each musician would walk behind the model. So say, a model would walk out and the mariachi band followed her throughout her exit. Then the next model came on, followed by a man playing a banjo. And so on. It was a cute concept but a little annoying since the forms of music clashed so much.

I didn't really like them. It was a little too cutesy and colorful for a fall collection, I thought. And no coats or winter clothes really. It all looks like a spring collection if it weren't for the boots. The shoes were pretty ugly. Just clunky and cheap-looking. He did these printed baseball jackets that looked very 'Urban Outfitters'. Not exciting or interesting. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

being a Herchcovitch follower, i'm certainly not disapointed by this collection.
i just got bored with the boots but i liked the colours a lot, winter is getting brighter and lighter in mood since some seasons now, while spring summer collections are on a heavier colour scheme, so i had no problem with this choices.

Agreed. I mean he is Brasilian and all, but still .
