This isn't his best, IMO, but at least he does frills, florals and prints without looking like a middle-aged socialite. It's an uneven collection, with some good pieces that are quite cute...not a lot though. Go to Getty Images for more. Not my usual style (my favourite NY designer is Patrikn Zrepski), but one of the better I've seen so far.

It doesn't look that great here, but I think if someone were to use them differently, in the right way, they could totally work.

Details..

I usually prefer slick, modern designs, but I covet the floral jacket with the plaid lapel and maybe a couple of hats. Feels very classic Cacharel in the old days, before the Clements & Ribeiro era. Anyway, here's more..

I'm not crazy about the styling but I think that a lot of this is finally a bit of freshness for spring....a new palette of colors/prints....or at least one that hasn't been around for awhile.

oh my god, the shoes are really ugly, how can u walk in those?

i usually like his work but i dont like this collection, one thing i like about him though, he is always willing to experiment and i can appreciate that.

is this the same collection he was showing in sao paolo?
again, i'm not too fond of colours and styling but some of the clothes would look great in a different context, i think ... combined with simpler pieces...
thanks for posting zazie:flower:

i don't like how EVERYONE is wearing a hat. it seems like it should be used more sparingly.

It's for the "young peasant girl" look, I suspect. Yes, I was wondering how to wear any of the hats with the two metre tail, especially when entering le metro.B) A bit of de-pluming is in order.

Overall, except for the first few I posted, I'm not that keen about the other pieces, not because they are too colourful and frilly but because they are trite and not innovative. They are certainly cute, but not suitable for anyone over 25, IMO. I do give him high marks for not conforming to the fashion dictatorship (MINIMAL! NOW!) and doing his own exuberant thing. Some of the others who tried to tone down uncharacteristically really floundered.:D

the more I look at this collection, the more I enjoy it. The prints certainly couldn't be worn all together but the shapes are magnificent. Look at the sort of laser cutouts on that beige half of that skirt/dress or the sort of highwaisted suspenders/lederhosen. And the belting is very 'now' without directly copying Yves Saint Laurent f/w 05

its not too bad, but this certainly is not on his usual high standard ...

thanks for the topics and pics zazie

I'm with Meg. Excellent shapes....alot of it actually reminds me of English country-side clothes. But the colours and the whole mixture of things,I'm not so keen on.

I join Meg. That skirt is fantastic! It reminds me of the old days when kids used to cut paper carpets. Not sure if it's a worldwide phenomenon but I was the queen of it :king: Fold a paper up and cut out little figures.
I really like the paisley-ish flower prints, wouldn't combine them with those other heavy prints though. The first dress posted may be my favorite out of all pics, and I'm not even fond of pink.

the only bad thing I have to say on this collection is the models hair. I like braids, but not that kind. I'm glad they are wearing hats, so they cover some parts of the hair dos
