Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture S/S 2021 Paris

I mean you can go to Saint Laurent and get these looks for a cheaper price tho. Look 26 should never see the daylight.

awful, what's up with those pointy flaps

Why is he doing couture anyway? His boutique stuff is similar and probably much cheaper.

oh dear... it’s bad.
I lost my strength to comment after watching Chanel and Valentino in a row.

I guess the background is a reference to "Les Bains Douches"...
The collection looks like a trip into Emmanuelle and the whole VP team's moodboard.
Apart from the (Martin) Margiela's and Tom Ford for Gucci inspired looks, it's boring and tired.

He started with Couture and added RTW later. It's still handmade and he uses all the Metiers d'Arts bought by Chanel. It's in fact Demi-Couture. The simpler pieces will surely make it to the RTW collection.

I like him but this is his worst, mediocre, forgettable uninspired and tired work so far.
