though i did love her as a brunette. i miss seeing her work - she is such a quietly powerful model, a true professional.. right from the beginning she just always seemed to have a fantastic sense of herself.. how to pose, how to emote, how to stand.. she was unlike any of the other young girls imo. she's probably leading a more balanced, happy life this way though.. at least i hope !

.....

Vanessa Paradis, Kate Bosworth, and Leigh Lezark have all given Chanel’s new Rouge Coco lipstick collection their seal of approval, but Ali Michael’s editorial in the Spring/Summer issue of Lula may just be the best endorsement we’ve seen so far. That, right there, is Michael working one of the wide-brimmed hats from Vena Cava’s Fall equestrian-cool collection, a very well-groomed, full brow, and Rouge Coco in Rivoli—a striking brick red color. Sure, Michael has the pout to pull it off, but the way the pigment’s richness registers in print is convincing us that we too could potentially work the color. (Yes, we frequently fall victim to subversive advertising techniques—especially in the form of well-executed beauty spreads). Do you like the color?
it looks amazing with the dark eyebrows. sometimes it can look trashy but Ali's face is so elegant it looks fantastic imo.. just the right amount of edginess
