Ahh I met Amy Astley a couple of times (through Teen Vogue's Fashion U), I think she does a pretty good job with the magazine; loved that "My Funny Valentine" spread. I find that every issue tends to have a good editorial and a boring editorial - one that features a white model usually with straight, sleek hair, jumping against a plain background and wearing a mix of kakhi and neon, and then an interesting on shot on location with an up and coming model. Anyone else find this?
Anyway, i do find that TeenVogue is usually grouped together with teenybopper mags like Coso and Seventeen, but overall they feature some pretty sophisticated stuff...I mean, they'll put Zac Efron or Emma Roberts on the cover to sell issues, but inside they'll have relevant industry-related stuff or news on people like Chloe Sevigny, Beth Ditto, and Sofia Coppola. I just wish they wouldn't talk down to the readers so much...
