Ali Michael

AHHHH her eyebrows are her best feature!! that's like getting rid of snejana's cheekbones!!

I can't get over how sensational she looks this season.

By the way, does anyone have any scans or interviews (or info itself) on her beauty and health regime. I'm pretty sure I remember her saying she was vegan but I'm not sure about anything else.

Honestly, this season I was not a fan about her.. I absolutely agree with you , parisia. I can't got her this season. There is something.. something changes that even difficult to describe.

Maybe that look she had in shows, just doesn't fitted to her.. But anyhow, she did fine.

What a complexion. She really ought to be bigger than she is. I can only think of a handful of current models in her class, and yet this isn't translating quite completely.

She's got a face that's so radiant ^_^. I've always liked her style during fashion week and she used to wear so much CDG's Play shirts .

Totally getting her outfit, that knit looks so comfy

from her interview with pony ryder, march 2009:

PONY RYDER: Ali, how do you maintain balance between a fantastic shape and nutrition?
ALI MICHAEL: I do cardio at the gym and do floor exercises at night and in the morning. Most of the time I get my exercise by walking all over the city. I don't even have a subway card because I just prefer to walk. It's definitely more scenic than running on the treadmill. As far as nutrition, I think the most important thing is to have a healthy balance of nutrients in your food and to appreciate and be mindful of where it comes from and how fortunate you are to have it.

PONY RYDER: How do you maintain your skin?
ALI MICHAEL: I cleanse and moisturize my face twice a day.

PONY RYDER: What products do you prefer?
ALI MICHAEL: I love Origins products. I use the Checks and Balances face-wash and A Perfect World moisturizer and eye cream. I have really sensitive skin but I've used this stuff for years and I love it. I also occasionally use a face-mask made only of azuki beans, rice bran and soybeans ground together. For body, I use a natural exfoliating scrub from Sabon in NYC in the shower and moisturize every day with organic avocado oil and a shea butter cream. I also have a total obsession with lip balm.

PONY RYDER: And hair. Do you have any special regime you do...?
ALI MICHAEL: I don't have any special regime. I just shampoo and condition it whenever I feel it needs it.

and she mentions her veganism in this interview with bunnybisous, december 2008:

Favorite holiday desert:
Ali Michael: I can't imagine that any of my family members will go near any vegan treat that I attempt to make; but I'm loving warm raw cacao-coconut-almond milk at the moment! I want to try to make a raw vegan cheesecake or recreate Souen's carob brownies with pine nuts.

her complexion is so, so lovely - she seems to have totally lucked out genetically in that department, regardless of what products she uses.
...but i might put some of them on my christmas wishlist, just in case :p

Hey, I did some illustrations for online mag Nicola Diary, and Ali was one of my muses!
Hope you like it!

thanks so much, kissability! :D
and yes, i think her wonderful skin comes from genetics.
models generally eat very healthy foods (apart from the smoking!), so i'm always interested in what they consume so i can get ideas for myself.

that modelinia video in #79 is awesome!!! i finally get to hear what those girls sound like :P

ALIK, that is one of the best drawing I've ever seen.
:heart::heart: Ali Michael....it's frustrating that nobody is paying attention to her.
