She doesn't need to. She's probably one of the busiest print/editorial/campaign models working at the moment. Doing fashion week will bring her no greater acclaim.
^ Well, I wouldn't go that far. Don't get me wrong, Alisa's doing well. Most runway fillers never land a solo Vogue cover, appear in US Vogue, or even get to shoot with the likes of I&V, Testino, Lindbergh... But her work's still pretty limited, while some of the most basic girls around are swimming in blue chip campaigns.
Anyway, I think it's been obvious from the start that she's never going to be a runway staple. She didn't actually do that well in Europe during her debut season despite coming off an exlusive Calvin opening (and being a total stunner!). Personally I do find her a bit gawky on the runway- probably not an easy fit, which is what it ALL comes down to. Unless your name is Kendall or Gigi, I suppose.
Alisa is gorgeous. Thankfully the magazines and photographers can see that. It doesn't matter if she doesn't walk any shows if she is shooting eds in Vogue with great photographers and landing campaigns
