i am loving this look. I recently bought a beautiful tan leather belt which to go around the top of my waist. So far I've been pairing it with ruffled white shirts, but I think i'll try it with a dress and see how it looks

I think adding a belt on a dress and a bit higher than its traditionnal place adds a bit of whimsy and magic to an outfit...... Looks so fresh!

I think a belt ads a certain something to almoust every dress. I love wearing my dresses with belts. I need to get some more dresses, and belts..

The belt/sash really does add that something to dresses like urd said, it's like adding salt to taste. Another nice agreeable color to go along with the dress really makes things more interesting, not to mention make the figure look better.
...but then again maybe I duno what I'm on about since I'm a guy and don't wear dresses
