I uploaded these pics for a tFS'er asking about my avatar, so thought I'd post them here. Can't recall if they've seen light of day in this thread before! It's a Russian Vogue ed (on fur I assume) published a few years back in around 2003 perhaps; she looks to have had a big night in this fashion story, poor thing!

Holy wow - Alyssa was just yesterday on US tv in Law & Order SVU starring opposite John Stamos (also guesting) and all the usual stars!

ACTING classes have paid off for Aussie model Alyssa Sutherland. She has scored some high profile jobs in the US, following in the footsteps of fellow models Gemma Ward and Nicole Trunfio.

Sutherland has spent the past year learning acting in New York and she recently shot an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, sharing scenes with Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni.

In the episode, which goes to air in the US on Wednesday, Sutherland plays a woman who finds out that her husband (played by John Stamos) has fathered more than 50 children worldwide, just one of them hers.

"I'm really excited!" she tells us. "Admittedly, these are not roles that will get me award nominations, but they are great to put on a resume, and most importantly, recent.

"My goal for this year was to do as many smaller things like this as possible to really get my feet wet and build a foundation for a lifelong career. When the bigger stuff comes along, I'll be as prepared as possible."

Sutherland has also been cast in a small role in Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon's upcoming film Arbitrage.

The Vogue cover girl's other acting experience includes a non-speaking appearance in the hit film The Devil Wears Prada.​
