Harper's used to have such lovely covers everyday.
When did it all go wrong? Or change? well the font change was what her name, miss betts doing was it not? I wont go off here in Amber thread's...just get nostalgic over such beautiful artifacts that are a piece of time nowhere ever close to recreating, so why so nostalgic? What else is there to be?
I love these HB covers. They're delicate. Thank you.
^^Nothing wrong with a little trip down nostalgia lane when models were on the covers of mags about 10 months of the year.
Both covers are lovely but the first one is just soooo beautiful.
^^that's lovely
funny to see that that dress is from 1998 but it looks so current with today's trends...

Amber Valletta Puts Her Designing Shoes On 7/27/09
It wouldn't be a Monday morning without news of a celeb or model launching a clothing line. Today, it's Amber Valletta! The supermodel turned actress is teaming up with L.A. clothing company Monrow to create basic wardrobe staples, like thin tees and tanks (to layer), day dresses, blazers, hoodies, a cape, a smoking jacket, and rompers. (She had us up until that last part.) Everything comes in navy, cream, black, light gray, and pale blush with accents of silver and gold, and prices will range from $65 to $80 wholesale. “I’m not interested in making clothes that are not accessible,” Valletta told WWD “Sometimes it feels like it hurts when you make a big purchase, so I really believe that the more expensive things should be gems that you keep in your closet, not trends.” This we feel. But a romper going for $160 retail still isn't exactly chump change. Valetta is joining the ranks of Erin Wasson and Christy Turlington in her MTD status. For those who don't quite recall, Turlington does yogawear. (Yes, that counts.) Valetta's collection for Monrow hits stores in November, and until we get a sneak preview going, we can't tell you what it looks like. But Monrow is full of reallysimplebasics, so it stands to reason that as long as Valetta steers clear of any awful prints and maxi dresses, the line should do alright.
