Ami F/W 2025.26 Paris

It really looked better in motion than in photos.
Money well spent Alexandre! The best cast money can offer and it looks fabulous.

The clothes are great. The bags are great but the shoes are still terrible. I genuinely think that he should ask Pierre Hardy to collaborate with him for the shoes.

Now I understand why I don’t like Nazario’s styling for AMI: there’s no story other than colors. So at the end, things just looks like an endless variation on 3 looks. I prefer when it’s an idea then another idea.

Nevertheless, bravo Alexandre!

Looks good in motion and the butter colors are on point.
No wonder it sells like hot cakes as everyday running-errands wear. At least it's urbanwear, urban without falling in the trap of streetwear.

I quite literally want everything. Men's and Women's.
I just whised it was a liiiittle more fashion forward, but oh it looks so good!

The epitome of the overrated Paris brand. Never liked it, never will. You won't catch me in a Made in Romania jacket no matter if it's "with love" or not, and no matter how big your marketing budget has become to try to trick me into thinking you're a big player.

Happy to see Cole Mohr though, he's forever the coolest.

Great casting. Loathe the styling. But it's great seeing how much he has evolved and grew the business.

Yesterday we had 5 new threads on TFS.
DVN aside, the other four (PPhilo, Ami, Lemaire and The Row) are not thaaaat different from each other.
But The Row is trashed and Ami is praised.

I hated the Margiela rip-off, and I get that The Row is more expensive than Ami, but still I do think there are double standards.

I like Ami (and The Row, and PP... it is difficult to dislike this type of fashion because it is superclean, safe and what consensually is considered good taste) but if I had to buy, I would spend a little more and go to Lemaire.

The promise and ethos of the brand are not the same.
So you cannot see things with the same POV because it’s never always equal.

I don’t care for The Row but I buy Toteme.
And AMI is historically a menswear brand doing womenswear so the appreciation is not the same.

If you are going to avoid Romania, Portugal and Armenia and stay in the "made in France", your choice will be very limited to 4/5 brands: Chanel, LV, a bit of Dior, a bit of YSL, a bit of Celine that's all.
The largest manufacturer I know (16 plants in Normandy) works at 75% for Chanel (and they have plans to hire 200 people more).

Even for many French houses the Made in France is rare for their mens collections; mostly they are made in Italy.

I am not obsessed about the "made in". Remember Dior sweatshops at the heart of the Toscana?
Materials are much more important to me.

The thing is: the other “real” luxury brands are also made in Romania.

I have a secondhand jacket by AMI made in Portugal and it feels luxurious, more than new ones from more famous brands. the zippers are great and all the seems and sweing technique too. Nothing is uneven, nothing is falling apart after heavy use. the fit could be just a little better but I think I size smaller would be perfect.

Exactly! I love Iselin opening and Liya closing as well..
Plus Lara Stone, Yasmin Warsame, Selena Forrest, Iselin Steiro, Leon Dame, Jessica Miller, Annemary Aderibigbe, Ida Heiner, Suvi Koponen
