An Watanabe

Quirky is good.

Her smile reminds me of someone else's.. I think some actress but I can't exactly attach a name to it

she is so cute! :woot: thankyou so much for the gorgeous pics everyone, and for starting the topic perlefine

aww she's pretty. hmmm other japanese girls on the runway other than ai tominaga.

she's cute in a very unobtrusive, passive way...

shes sort of like an asian morgane dubled

Tracy Reese S/S 06

I'm excited to see her walking over Yohji, YSL or Kokosalaki's catwalk.

Someone in the Nicole Miller SS 06 thread said it might be a girl called Ema Fujisawa and she looks like this:

I think it is definetly possible that this is Ema and not some Anne...

Nooooooooooo, Ema is MUCH better, to me :p
anyway, good luck with her. really good to see new asian model.

Wanatabe... the daughter of Long Duck Dong?

She's gorgeous. Look forward to seeing her more, she's got a very fresh face.

Last season Milan (and especially the Prada show) seized the intiative from NY and became the defining city for breaking new faces. This will happen again for S/S 06. In between the increasingly strict US visa regulations and the conservative casting policies being displayed by mainstream NY designers, only two or three slots per show are opening for new faces on the NY market. Add to that a glut of new models, so much so that the NY shows have only started to digest FW 05 campaign sensations like Sasha P/
IMG and Freja/IMG that it’s clear that breakthroughs are going to be few and far between. That said, 10 key newcomers are beginning to emerge as models of great promise for the upcoming season, the first on our radar being Japanese sensation Anne Watanabe, daughter of actor Ken Watanabe (Batman Returns, The Last Samurai). OTM caught up with the ultra-cool newcomer for dinner just before show week and was won over by Anne’s cool girl nonchalance mixed with point perfect manners. With those long lithe limbs that read so well on the runway and features that can go from anime to elegant in two seconds flat, it’s clear that this girl is ready for her moment.

well that answers the question about her agency!

wow she looks a LOT like one of the Non-no models ! Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? I wonder...
